Surprise

Today was the greatest.

Britt got to come home for a couple hours! We sat on the couch, invaded each others personal bubbles, watched basketball games, called each other names and did what siblings do, ate my dads birthday cake, and just relaxed. Like old times.

It was just perfect, really. For us to all be home, under the same roof, after so long.

It's so crazy because when this all happened, that's all i could hope for…was to someday be together as a family in our home again. And here we are. I think having britt home is going to be so awesome, we can't wait for that day. It is for sure going to be weird though. We are never all together at home, because one of us is always at the hospital with Britt. It's almost like the hospital is our home, and ouur home is just a place we go to sleep! So it will be nice to get back to normal, because normal hasn't existed for so long. But until then he still has some very crucial weeks ahead of him at the hospital. It's really important that he gets the most out of however much longer he is there for, because once he gets home he won't get the kind of attention and intensity he gets here!

My heart is just really full today. Full of gratitude and love for this family of mine. For my brother. For all of you. Your prayers and service have been the fuel behind the fire, I know that for a fact. We owe everything to you for doing what you've done.

Love seeing the progress Britton is making. I got to meet him and your dad yesterday outside the hospital while I was on my way into church. He's even more impressive in person! I've been so touched by Britton and your family. What impressive people you all are!

Britt,
You are so amazing. Reading through your blog and about your story, my heart goes out to you and all those involved. We have never met you but our 4 year old daughter was recently in an accident similar to yours. Like you she is also exceeding expectations, and we are seeing miracles in her recovery. Seeing you on your feet enjoying your family gives me hope for our daughter as well. Everything about your story has inspired us and reminded us of God's grace and mercy. Keep up the good work.

After being in relationship for 9 years,my husband broke up with me all was in
