Keys to the City

Yesterday was a fun day for B! He got in lots of good therapy and worked really hard. It has been so crazy to watch him over the last few weeks...I cant even begin to tell you how much has improved. Even if it's just little tiny things, those little things come together for something big! He is getting a lot more strength in his legs,  so now when we help him stand up, we hardly have to do anything but be there for support. And he is getting better at balance with each day, he has a hard time sitting up by himself but yesterday he managed to stay balanced for a few seconds at a time without anyone holding him up! He is also getting lots better at driving the wheel chair around haha, I think I crash it more than he does. The news crew came and interviewed my family and got some footage of Britt. Of course I cried like a little baby haha, but they were so awesome and so nice...and I could tell they were passionate and cared a lot about my brother and his story. The mayors of St. George and of Santa Clara both came by too! They gave Britt a key to the city, so now he thinks he's all important and stuff;) He was so excited, he wouldn't let go of it for anyone. I swear that smile of his just gets bigger and brighter every day. Like I've said a million times before, he has shown me a whole new understanding of love. You can't help but look at his sweet face and not feel that love. I am so incredibly proud of him. I don't know how he does it day in and day out. Yesterday in the interview I had to talk about the day that the accident happened. After reflecting on all that and where we are today, I just cant even comprehend how extremely blessed my family has been the past 90 something days. My heart is just real full of gratitude towards my Father in heaven and savior Jesus Christ, as well as to all of you for what you've done for my brother and family. We love you.
