What a quality couple of days with our boy!
I swear every day, he gets funnier and funnier. He is a witty little song of a gun, I mean, he always has been, but it's fun to have it back. He just keeps working hard in therapy and he is coming a long ways, everyone is so impressed with him. His speech is improving, a ton, if you ask me. It is so much easier to understand him, than it was even a week ago. His other eye has a crack in it, and i think it will slowly just start to open. He is so funny, he will open that eye with his other hand sometimes, and start singing "i can see clearly now, the rain is gone."
He says "oh my" at least 500 times a day.
He has a new found love for suckers.
My mom gave him a haircut last night, it was so fun, just like old times. It was weird, cause for a second there it felt like we were just at home, in her shop, listening to music and she was cutting Britt's hair. Everything felt so normal. It was like nothing had ever happened. But it felt so good to be doing what we used to do. Britt was singing along to the country music, and saying "make me look handsome mom.". And she sure did. His hair was getting a little out of hand. hahahahha, a haircut was far over due.
Then after we got him in the shower, me and my mother, and let me tell ya it was a hoot. He was telling us what to do, and where to stand, and what to get. He knew it all. My dad usually showers him so it was news to us. He was insisting that we use the "swagger" shower gel. We were so confused, then we realized it was this old spice shower gel my dad puts on him hahahha. He kept saying, oh yeah..im mr swagger to you. Then my mom brings in these boxers with buttons on them, and he was like "MOM…I CANNOT BE SEEN IN PUBLIC WITH BUTTONS ON MY BOXERS." we started to die laughing. He just shook his head.
He has started to get his tube feeds, all during the day, in between therapies and what not, so now he gets to sleep laying flat. Which if you think about, sleeping for 4 months sitting up…WOULD STINK! Now he is back to his old sleeping habit, and sleeps so much better!!
