See ya on the Field Soon

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: autumn does not need any more treats in her belly…it is becoming a problem. The brownies, cookies, they are starting to add up haha, because they are too good, and like how can i not eat the whole plate or pan every time someone brings them, right? That would just be rude, to just let them sit there. Someone's gotta do it. So its justifiable. BUT HAS TO STOP.

I've been off my game the last couple days keeping up the blog. So let me fill you in.

The weekend was great. Britt got some therapy in with my dad and got plenty of sleep. He literally slept all day sunday. He took the sacrament again, which he was so proud of! He loved watching the pouring rain out the window, and we worked on our dance moves. gotta keep those sharp. His nurse brought in his guitar an taught britt a few things, it was the sweetest thing in the world. He loved every second of it. He also got a new wheelchair, he no longer has the electric Maserati, but has upgraded to a state of the art push wheel chair. So he has to do all the work now. It takes us about 30 minutes to get 10 feet but its all good, we getting those guns back boiiiii!

My mom was talking with britton about how I'm going out of the country this summer for a couple weeks, and she was like, "I'm not happy about autumn leaving." and britton was like, "yeah me either, we just have to say our prayers…a lot." hahahha. my oh my.

Everytime i go to wipe brittons hands off with sanitized wipes, or something like that, he says…"okay mom, or thanks mom" cause that is stuff my mom always does. haha.

Yesterday my mom was talking to my dad and britt was behind her, and if you know my mother she talks with her hands…really talks with her hands, and he was behind her mimicking everything she was doing with her hands, it was hilarious, she had no idea.

Britton has picked up on the whole nursing aspect of things, he asked the nurses to check his residual the other day, which is the stuff they pull out of his peg tube to see if the food is processing. And today something started beeping and he said, "autty…my food is done running." I was like, what the? i didn't even know that.

I was talking about a boy the other day and how i wasn't too fond of him, and britton started waving his fists around and kicking his leg and said, "no one's mean to my sister, ill beat him up."

Yesterday we were just hanging out resting, and he pops his head up and says "GUESS WHAT AUTTY?!" so excited, and i asked what? "I MADE THE BASEBALL TEAM!" It was so sweet, to see the smile on his face and hear the happiness in his voice. His name was posted at the top of the list. And he got all the gear. I wish so badly, that my brother could've tried out this season and be playing, but that small gesture means the world and so much more to us, and to him. We all know how much he loves the game of baseball. I'm thinking he will be good to go by next season, and if not, then his senior year for sure!! I can't wait to watch him play again. I know he will, if he really wants to and puts his heart and mind into it. I still, feel so strongly, that whatever he wants to achieve, he will. As long as he works hard, never gives up and has his goals in sight. He will get there. It may take time, but he will.

I watched a video that one of our nurses recommended about a boy from Michigan who went through something similar as britt, a lot of it was the same, and it was truly inspiring. I just couldn't help but feel so much hope after watching it, knowing that if that boy could do it, so can my brother! It's an incredibly story, if you want to watch it!

Today my mom went to the store, and as she was walking out britton said, "get me a sucker please." and we laughed and my mom was like, alright! So He had a watermelon sucker and just licked it like it was the first time.

Today one of his friends came by and he made my mom get him up out of bed to stand him up next to his friend, cause he wanted to see who was taller now.

I just love that boy. I love that he is becoming more and more of himself everyday. I have my britt back and that's the best feeling in the world. It's crazy because almost 4 months ago today, i didn't know if id have my little brother around for much longer. And here we are, a lot of ups and downs later, and he is making incredible progress, things are looking so hopeful. He has a long way to go, but I'm so happy with and grateful for where he is in terms of recovery. Ive witnessed the Lords hand perform miracles and blessings beyond belief, I've seen the power of prayer and unwavering faith from thousands heal my brother. I've seen what service, and a community of love and support can do for an individual and a family. Im amazed by it all. And our hearts are so full of gratitude. I have been thinking a lot lately, and I feel like we have come off as saying that this has been a huge blessing…but i want to clarify, my brother's accident has in no way, shape or form, been a blessing. It has been quite the opposite; difficult beyond anything i could ever fathom or comprehend, it has been heartbreaking and it has been trying. I could never call what has happened to my sweet brother a blessing. I can say however, that we have seen blessings come from it. Too man to count. We've have learned and grown, been strengthened in so many ways. As so many others who know him have. As i was reflecting, i felt so guilty for that, because i feel that i may have come off as saying that this has been a blessing…because that is so unfair to my brother. His nearly losing his life, and experiencing life altering changes and injuries, is not something i would consider blessed. His recovery, and everything he has overcome so far, has been a blessing though! In the highest degree.

We are still praying that his other eye will open, and that he will continue to develop physical strength to do things more independently, as well as the progression of his speech and eating/drinking! Thank you for your thoughts, and continuous prayers. We love you:) Keep believing!

My name is Ellian smith, i am in the US army, one day, we went to Iraq,

My passion for love and life has made me to take to the internet to

Hello My Good People,

American is changing for the best i can say this because the gay community just literally got liberated i mean we can officially get married and be part of the the American society. When i heard the news i was filled with joy i mean me and my fiance the man i have always can finally own our marriage certificate in Georgia.It was not always right for us if you know what i mean.
